Productivity: plan, remind, focus
A to-do list and reminders you type in plain words, notes, a habit tracker, a Pomodoro timer, countdown timers, a stopwatch, an alarm clock, a subscription tracker, screen time and a shutdown timer, in one app. What needs to ring rings as a Windows notification, also after you close the window, and everything stays on your PC.
What you can do in Productivity
Plan, time, money and your PC
- Plan: a to-do list that reads “pay rent on the 1st every month” and sets the day and the repeat, reminders you type the way you say them, notes with checklists and headings, and a habit tracker with streaks.
- Time: a Pomodoro timer that counts your focus minutes, countdown timers, a stopwatch with laps and an alarm clock with snooze.
- Money: a subscription tracker that adds up what you pay a month and a year and reminds you before each charge.
- Your PC: screen time by app and by hour, and a shutdown timer that can wait for a time, a countdown, your absence or a program to close.
The app opens on Today: what is due today with tick boxes, the habits to tick, your focus minutes, the next alarm and any running timers, the charges of the next 7 days, today's screen time if it is on, and the shutdown timer if one is set.
How it rings
Reminders, alarms, timers, the end of a focus period, subscription renewals and the shutdown timer's warning all ring as Windows notifications through the Octoolo app, so they reach you while you work in other programs. Close Octoolo's window while something is planned and it keeps running, with an icon in the corner of the taskbar; quit it from that icon. Settings has Keep running after the window closes, while something is planned, on at first, and Test a notification.
Let Octoolo start with Windows, from Settings or the Start with Windows button where things ring, and reminders and screen time carry on after a restart. Started that way, it opens without its window and closes itself after two minutes if nothing is planned. One thing it cannot do is wake the PC: nothing rings while the PC sleeps or is switched off.

Questions, answered
Do I need an account?
No. Your tasks, notes, habits and the rest are kept in Octoolo's data folder on your PC, and nothing is uploaded.
Does it sync with my phone?
No. There is no phone app and no sync between devices; everything stays on this computer.
Will reminders ring if I close Octoolo?
Yes, if you close the window: Octoolo keeps running in the corner of the taskbar while something is planned. If you quit it from there, nothing rings until it runs again.
Can it wake my PC from sleep?
No. Nothing rings while the PC sleeps or is off. A reminder that came due meanwhile rings once the PC is on and Octoolo is running.
Does it block websites or limit app time?
No. Screen time shows where your time went; it does not block or limit anything.
