1. Who we are

Octoolo and octoolo.com are made and run by Getiket Technologies (Getiket Teknoloji ve Yazılım Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi), called "we" or "us" here. You can reach us at hello@octoolo.com.

2. The subscription

Octoolo Cloud is sold on three plans, in US dollars, with VAT or sales tax included in the price or added at checkout as the law where you live requires: $4.99 a month, $13.47 every 3 months and $47.90 a year. Each is charged in advance for its period and renews on its own at the end of it until you cancel. Each starts with a 7-day free trial: you give a payment method at the start, nothing is charged during the trial, and the plan's price is charged when it ends unless you cancelled before then. While you are subscribed you may use every app in Octoolo, with every update we release. Productivity, Text Studio and Calculator may be used without a subscription.

3. Payment through Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase as well as these terms.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account on octoolo.com, from the link in your receipt email, or by writing to hello@octoolo.com. Cancelling during the free trial means you are never charged. After that, you keep Octoolo Cloud until the end of the period you have paid for and are not charged again. You can also change plan; the new plan applies from your next payment. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

5. Price changes

If the price changes, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you. The new price starts from your next renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before it does.

6. Your right to use Octoolo, your license key and your account

While your subscription is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Octoolo, for personal or business purposes, on computers you own or control. You may not sell, rent or share your subscription, or copy, modify, decompile or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.

Your subscription comes with a license key, which we email to you and show in your account on octoolo.com. It turns on Octoolo Cloud on up to 3 of your computers at a time; you can remove a computer in Octoolo's Settings or in your account to use the key on another. Keep the key to yourself: anyone who has it can use your subscription. Octoolo checks your subscription with octoolo.com when you turn it on and every few hours after that, and keeps working offline for a few days past the period you have paid for.

Your account on octoolo.com is made when you subscribe or sign up. You sign in with a one-time code we email to you, so keep your email account secure. Productivity, Text Studio and Calculator need no account.

7. Your files and your vault

Your files stay yours. Octoolo processes them on your own computer and does not upload them. You are responsible for having the right to edit the files you open, and for keeping backups of important ones.

The password vault is encrypted with your master password, which we never receive. If you forget it, neither you nor we can open the vault, so keep it, and a backup of the vault, somewhere safe.

8. Fair use

Do not use Octoolo to break the law or to infringe other people's rights, for example by editing documents you are not allowed to change.

9. Open-source parts

Octoolo includes open-source software, and downloads FFmpeg the first time a video or sound tool needs it. Each part keeps its own license; they are listed under Settings in the app.

10. Updates and changes

We keep improving Octoolo, and updates are included in the subscription. If we ever stop offering Octoolo, we will refund the unused part of any month you have paid for.

11. Warranty and liability

Octoolo is provided "as is". We work hard to make it correct and reliable, but we do not promise it is free of errors or suits every file. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

12. Changes to these terms and contact

We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest change at the top of this page. If a change matters for your subscription, we will email you before it applies. Questions: hello@octoolo.com.
